We ship worldwide via Canada Post, UPS and Purolator. Overseas shipments are delivered by national postal services (i.e. USPS, Royal Mail) and the EMS courier service. Please note, we do not ship to PO boxes.

In Store Pick-Ups

Residents of Vancouver and Toronto may opt to pick up their order in store.

  1. Make your purchase as you normally would and select "In Store Pick-Up" at checkout.

  2. We'll send you an email when it's ready to be picked up – typically within 1 business day.

All in-store pick-ups must be claimed within 7 days of purchase. Once picked up, customers will have 14 days to return for an exchange or in-store credit if needed. If there are any extenuating circumstances on purchase or pick-up, arrangements can be made via



Purchases to be delivered within British Columbia are subject to 7% PST + 5% GST, all other destinations within Canada are subject to their provincial tax rate. 


All orders to be delivered outside of Canada are tax-free at the time of purchase.

Payment of duties and taxes as well as any brokerage charges from UPS/Purolator are the responsibility of the customer. Should you refuse to pay these charges, your order will be returned to dutil. Denim Shop and your account will be credited according to our return policy less any shipping and import fees associated with the return. 

Orders delivered to the U.S. are usually exempt from duties and taxes on imports under $600 in value.

Exchange Policy

Returns are accepted for store credit or exchange only, provided that the item is returned in unwashed and unworn condition. Hemmed, altered and discounted items are considered final sale, and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Dutil does not offer returns under any circumstances. All eligible exchanges must be returned within 7 days of purchase (if in store) or 7 days of item delivery (if online.)  All exchanges require a receipt. 

Exchanging an Item Bought in Store

We are happy to exchange regular priced merchandise provided it is returned in its original condition along with your receipt within 14 days of purchase.

If you need to exchange for an item of lesser value, the difference will be applied towards store credit for your next purchase. If the exchanged item is of greater value than your original purchase, you will be responsible for paying the difference. Online purchases cannot be exchanged in store at this time.

Exchanging an Item Online

All exchanges for online purchases must be approved by prior to exchange.

Online customers must place their exchange request within 14 days of receiving their purchase from the carrier. Online purchases cannot be exchanged in store. We do not offer refunds for merchandise - you can return items for an exchange or store credit only.   

Please follow the steps below when exchanging your item:

  1. Click on the Size Exchange Request button at the bottom of the page and send your request for a quick exchange.

  2. Once permission for your exchange has been granted, place a new order online. We'll ship your new item right away.

  3. Send your return to the address provided to you upon approval.

  4. All exchanges will be inspected for odour, stains, demarcations and other signs of wear before being accepted. Please allow 2 full business days for us to respond to your request.

  5. Once your exchanged item has been approved, we will refund your order minus a $15 restocking fee.

Shipping on Exchanged Items

The customer is responsible for paying for shipping costs for the returned item, as well as a $15 Flat Rate fee to ship the new product. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Always use a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your exchanged item. 

Defective Items

Items that are deemed defective within a reasonable time frame will be considered for an exchange if a proof of purchase is provided. Please email with a detailed description of the problem along with all necessary photos.
